Atlantic City anti-violence bike group to focus on cancer awareness

  • Community

A group started to bring Atlantic City kids together against violence will focus on cancer awareness this Mother's Day.

The ASAP riders — which stands for Against Shooting Another Person — will lead a bicycle ride out through the streets beginning with a meetup at the All Wars Memorial Building at 1510 Adriatic Ave.

The group was formed in 2019 by Rashad Faheem with a focus on giving the city's kids — regardless of neighborhood — a way to come together.

The ride will be followed by a cookout in Brown's Park beginning at 5 p.m.

There will be free food and refreshments.

A bike giveaway is also planned courtesy of Freedom City Bike Club.
