An Atlantic City executive chef once again will show his culinary talents on a television competition.
Chef Leslie Daniel, who leads the kitchen Kuro in the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Atlantic City, is set to appear on the Food Network’s "24 in 24: Last Chef Standing” as it debuts its second season Sunday.
Kuro held a special event last year as friends, family and coworkers watched Chef Leslie win an episode of the cooking game show, "Guy’s Grocery Games," hosted by Guy Fieri on the Food Network.
His infectious enthusiasm and motivating presence has earned him the nickname “Chef Too Hype.”
Daniel joined the opening team at Kuro in 2018, quickly rising through the ranks, impressing colleagues and patrons alike with his creativity and dedication.
His leadership has been integral to Kuro receiving national recognition, including being named USA Today's No. 1 casino restaurant in 2020.

In an interview last year, Daniel told BreakingAC about his urge to want to compete again.
When he was an up-and-coming cook in Las Vegas, he applied for both "Chopped" and "Hell's Kitchen."
"Filming was definitely a fun experience," he said of his experience on Fieri's show. "Everything happens so fast. One minute the rules are being explained and the next thing you know you're in the action and then the day is over. It’s such a rush."
